New No. 1's 11/22/16

Hola Nerdmigos. Tomorrow is new comic book day and this week is a good week to be a comic fan. Two books that I have been very excited for are coming out tomorrow, along with the other great stuff that comes out tomorrow.  I am going to rate these titles with a with a Can't Wait, Worth Checking Out, Maybe if it is a light week and a Nah. Marvel is still rolling out it's Marvel Now titles.  Seems to be two to three a week. With a new Logan trailer and the re-launch of X-Men announced, does that mean the real Wolverine is on his way back? I hope so.  So onto the new books for the week.

W: Scott Snyder A: Jeff Lemire
AD After Death Book #1 - SERIES PREMIERE - What if we found a cure for death? Two of comics' most acclaimed creators, SCOTT SNYDER (WYTCHES, Batman, American Vampire) and JEFF LEMIRE (DESCENDER, Moon Knight, Sweet Tooth) unite to create a three-part epic like no other, set in a future where a genetic cure for death has been found. Years after the discovery, one man starts to question everything, leading him on a mind-bending journey that will bring him face-to-face with his past and his own mortality. A unique combination of comics, prose, and illustration, A.D.: AFTER DEATH will be serialized monthly as three oversized prestige format books written by SNYDER and fully painted by LEMIRE.

Can't Wait - This is a book that I have been patiently waiting for since it was announced.  Scott Snyder is one of my favorite writers and is one of the best in the business.  Pair him with Jeff Lemire, even though he is only doing the art, and there is no way he doesn't have anything to add story wise.  This seems to have a different feel to anything that is out right now and is worth a read to anyone who enjoys something out of the Superhero genre.

W: Mike Costa A: Gerardo Sandoval
Venom #1 - The symbiote you know and love has returned to New York City. No more 'Agent of the Cosmos.' No more 'Lethal Protector.' It's time for a new Venom, and it's great to be bad.

Can't Wait - CBR Preview here: http://www.cbr.com/venom-1-3/.  Everyone knows and loves Venom. I wasn't a big fan of Venom in space, but it looks like he is coming back to Earth to create havoc. I don't know where they are going with this, but it looks dark and scary, which is what Venom should look like.

W: Al Ewing A: Travel Foreman
Ultimate #1 - Who - or what - is the Cosmic Jailer? What being is powerful enough to chain Eternity itself? That is the mystery Galactus must solve, before it's too late. Ultimate problems require ultimate solutions, and Galactus will call on those who helped cure his insatiable hunger. Captain Marvel, Black Panther, Blue Marvel, Spectrum and Ms. America! Together they are the Ultimates, protectors of the Omniverse. But now they are something more: the newest heralds of Galactus, the Lifebringer!

Maybe if it is a light week - CBR Preview here: http://www.cbr.com/ultimates-2-1-exclusive-preview/ Before I read the preview I was a nah, but I do like Black Panther and this is an intriguing beginning.  However, my problem with the Ultimates is that it is missing a couple of my favorite characters, like Hulk, Tony Stark and Hank Pym. They need a big gun like Hulk or Thor and a smart guy like Tony or Hank. Yes I know that Black Panther is smart and Carol is strong, but not like the others.

W: Serge Lehman A: Stephane Crety
Masked #1 - Frank Braffort has returned from war suffering from PTSD, but he is thrown headfirst into a terrifying new reality where phenomena, called Anomalies, appear out of nowhere. Facing this mysterious and lethal enemy, Braffort is called on to go into battle once again for the safety of the city!

Maybe if it is a light week - Titan has been putting out some pretty good books lately. This has an interesting premise and on a light week might be worth picking up.  I am hoping that this isn't a Watchmen type rip off.

Did I miss anything or rate a book unfairly? Holler at your boy in the comments.
